What do I do if I simply want to be cremated and my ashes tossed into The Long Island Sound in my backyard of my current rental property, or off the Millpond bridge in Westport, CT (readily accessible.). How much do I need? Cost? Waiting period? I have been diagnosed with Systolic Heart failure a very an implanted pacemaker, defibrillator.

1. In the event of the insured persons death, how fast is a typical payment made to the named recipient?

2. Does it usually require a death certificate to receive benefits?

3. Do funeral homes usually work with the family of the deceased and the insurance company to get, at a minimum, the funds necessary for the funeral expenses. After which the recipient would work directly with the insurance company for any remaining monies.

A very small amount of insurance for final expenses. Does it include cremation? Communicate thru email please. Lowest premium for a small amount of coverage, about $3000.00. It will help family.

In reply to Laray. Hi Laray - It depends on the policy, but it's usually within a few weeks, unless there's are circumstances that might cause the insurance company to look for additional information. But the funeral home may accept the policy as payment for final expenses.

We just found out that all our insurance is accidental. We have no burial insurance if my spouse and I pass. My husband is is 68 with type 2 dietetes. Never been hospitalized with it. Very healthy still rides horses.
Spouse 65 very healthy how to aerobics 1 hr 3 x a week and 2 hrs in summer 3 x week doing water aerobics. . We need burial, I need some information regarding price and cheapest and amount.
