Hi Laurie – You should be able to transfer the TSP to another account, like an IRA. But you may want to give careful consideration to whether or not you’re really ready to do that. The TSP is a fairly conservative investment plan, with very limited investment options and low trading frequency. Unless you fully understand the implications of moving the money to a higher risk plan, you should proceed with caution.
