The reason that they are so financially sound is because they do everything that they can to keep from paying legitimate claims. When my mother died I eventually had to file a complaint with the State Insurance Commissioner to get her claim paid. She died in an accident which means that her policy should have paid double. But since her original policy had been lost and all I had was a lost policy certificate, they claimed something different and only paid us the face amount *$1000) It would have costed me well over the other thounsand to file suit against them and they knew that. A BUNCH OF CROOKS.

My mother has been receiving a monthly bank transfer set up for her by her brother 4 years ago. It is a permanent arrangement he set to help with bills and other expenses. The transfer has been received without fail every month until this month, April 2023, after mom’s sister came to see her. When the transfer didn’t arrive she had it and as their brother is now incapacitated his son has been appointed guardian and must have access to mom’s bank account and records before he will release allow the transfer. Is this legal? Mom depends on the transfer to survive

In reply to J Dean. "Stocks are expensive" If you think you can time the market, you're kidding yourself. I've even fallen to that mental trap and I assure you it doesn't work. If you know you need to invest but not sure when/how to get started, I would suggest to dca your way in. Start with small chunks so over time you're fully invested.

My wife worked for a Hospital in Olympia, WA last month working was June 2018. Their 401(a) retirement plan was under Fidelity. Due to military we moved to Texas. She forgot about the plan and we calculating how much retirement and all of the investment she has done so that she can transfer to TSP. Well to our surprise, the money that she invested was taken “forfeiture” in April 2022.
